Book Arts [Sea Monster Series]
Most of the books I made in my Artist Books and Papermaking class were largely sea monster-themed.
[Puzzle Fan] is constructed like a fan and when the pages are aligned properly, display a stunning picture of a beached whale. Construction paper, laser print, string. 2006.
[Sea Monster Folio Set] is a set of three folios complete with a corresponding vellum envelope for each, and a transparant card holder. Vellum, cardstock, fishing line, clear plastic. 2006.
[Accordion Book] These illustrations show a sea monster morphing into a pirate ship! Blotting paper, fishing hook, cardstock. 2006.
[Hook Book] The assignment for this book was to bind it in a creataive way to somehow reflect the theme of the drawings inside. Since the theme of my book was a sea monster, I chose to bind it fan-style with a fishing hook. Book board, cardstock, carbon paper, various handmade papers, tracing paper, fishing hook. 2006.
